Beer mats work, fact! we had 25000 done, cost was just under £700 99% of pubs will snap your hand off for them, as breweries dont supply them for free and landlords have to pay for them. Get the design right, make it eye catching and proof read it. We got the idea off Bill from DataMaster and it's a winner.

Beer mats are used all over Liverpool especially city centre pubs and pubs around Anfield and Goodison. Even PH firms from neighbouring boroughs are using this form of advertising.

Are you still doing it? If not, why not?

Firm sold out to another firm and they had all these big ideas like Radio Advertising saying it would reach more people, it did yes in the wrong feckin area. The firm I'm with now do the beer mat advertising and mouse mats after me and a few other drivers told them how much work it generated. It works for a few weeks until the beer mats run out but you just replenish their stock with another bundle and the phones kick in again.

There's also the Pen route, giving a punter who you've pickd up off the rank a pen with the firms number on is also a sure winner, key fobs are also a winner, cheap to.

anyone ever tried pizza box advertising ?

You pay for half the pizza box with the pizza shop paying the other half.

I could see it working well for the student population. They eat shed loads of pizza

Nah wouldn't work, people only look at the inside of a pizza box not the outside.

I suppose murdering someone would get the company name about - but it may put the punters off - especially if they have to wait ages whilst you serve your sentence.

I wouldn't sponsor any darts leagues or football leagues either - they don't appreciate it and the custom generated isn't much either.

I'd stay away from local free papers - nobody ever reads them - other local papers are a waste of time because people don't look at the adverts.

I suppose local radio has its uses - but I don't listen to that and refuse on principle to listen to the most annoying people of gods earth.

You could always do what the c*nts round here do - give it a couple of months working ranks - you'll notice which fares are decent and which are sh*te - offer the decent ones a decent discount.
