I don't know what this is a picture of but it isn't CO2.
CO2 is one part carbon and 2 parts oxygen.

One driver dropped off at Luton a few weeks ago. He came all the way back to Nottinghamshire junc 28 on a break, when he cleared the break it gave him a job.

Is there no time limit on the break?

On our system the owners can set a time limit on a break if they wish - most have it set to 20 minutes and after the driver has had this 20 minutes break they are logged off and so have to log back on when they're free and join the back of the list.

The time limit is set to 30 minutes but all the driver has to do is go off break then go back on it for another 30 minutes. If it logs you off you go to the back of the que but most drivers keep going off break then back on so they get a job when they get back.

This was one of the things we saw on our test site when we were first developing the software. Drivers would actually be keeping their PDA by their bedside cabinet, wake up then logon and put themselves straight on a break.

That way when they've showered, shaved and are ready to go then they'd be trap 1 on the system.

As such, we developed various ways round the issue which helps keep things fairer for drivers "playing fair".

It's optional of course and some companies want things like the way yours currently works!

I'm not going to say any more in this post about the way we do things as I really don't want to appear to be advertising our software on here!

All the points mentioned are happening on our circuit. We've got one driver who travels from Derby every morning on a break, when he gets into Town he's trap one on the system.

Surely the sat nav features won't allow him to book on in an area he is clearly not in. :?

Here is one scenario that our goons do, get to trap one get a job of the system, go do the job but "No Show" it to stay in trap one

You don't know the system and what the drivers get up to Suss   IMO it's a failed system and only good for the courier trade.

They do that round here to.

Same in Brum too. except they have taken the art two stages further, been caught out & suspended for a week.

Some of the smarter goons have linked laptops to the dispatch system & then either changed their cab position on the system by amending the latitude / longitude or put themselves first turn on a fast moving rank by amending their time waited on that rank.

The mind boggles!! :x :x :x

Get a job off the rank don't put it on the system as a flag down and stay in trap one
