And then of course, there will be "us" shortly. (allegedly). (Maybe). But ours is/maybe a totally new system (when/if it works).

Hi there, the Cabmaster™ Mobile 2006 GPRS\UTMS\3G PDA\Phone device has Turn-by-Turn navigation, like alot of companies we use TomTom 5 as an added extra with our mobile solution and it can be involked by the driver to provide acccurate navigation to the pickup\drop off address and can even be used to locate yourself.

Hope that helps.

A bluetooth connection would be an advantage, the times ive missed a job because ive been getting fuel or shopping outa the boot and not heard it beep.

Get yourself a set of baby monitors, sit in the comfort of your own home waiting for the jobs to come thru

I hear that Mr Preece's Taxifast are installing Autocab and discarding Auriga's Evocab system.

Sounds like an expensive change, unless of course Autocab were offering substantial discounts to 'capture' an Auriga site.

Certainly seems that the snakes and ladders game between the UK's long established leading suppliers has more Autocab on the ladder currently.

Mind you, whilst they throw their dice, do you think there have noticed the company using the lift?

My local competitor signed up with Autocab earlier in the yearafter sticking with pen and paper for 12 years after we computerised.

Seemed to have been mis-sold by salesman about what exactly was involved.

After looking at a pile of boxes for 6 months they were collected and taken away.

As for cheap prices for Auriga customers! I hope they are not affected by their discounting.

Why is it we get told by salesmen that autocab is the largest supplier to the taxi trade in the uk for data despatch yet we never hear how good or bad their system is on forums like this surely if their is that many companies using the autocab system someone should say something about it i mean over the yrs on this forums companies like auriga have been praised & slaughtered for their systems also their has been discussions on cordic, mercury & others but i find it strange i can not find anything abt the autocab system

Been asking the same question for years Labraiz.

You and I were both part of the Auriga club, people happy to discuss their system and talk openly about it.

But never met anyone apart from Dusty in Southampton who would promote the Autocab system.

We now have Mr Preece of course, but he hadn't turned his on fully when he told the whole trade it was fantastic.

Come on someone, say how great the Autocab software is!

V cars in Swindon switched and all I got was 'it's ok I guess' as a recommendation.
