No....computers went down in the office killing all the phones so no one could phone in, all the booking system was lost and all the previous bookings that were booked in through Saturday afternoon.

Hang on, if the phones were dead, how do you know that you lost 300 jobs?

Nidge the phones still work when the system is off. They only connect to the pc for the caller id pop up and ring back. All the clerke had to do was write the job down and radio it to the closest car. I really cant understand why the boss is putting up with it unless it suits him.A Contract works both ways so if mercury isnt keeping to there end of the deal he could walk away and go elsewhere and mercury wouldnt have a leg to stand on. Think its time all the drivers had a word with the boss and demand a rent reduction or leave That sould motavate him a bit as theres just something not right about this its been going on to long now and speaking from experience i really dont think the fault is with mercury. How many base stations does the office have

TBH even messenger could be used to communicate or texts if no voice communication was working

Because it wiped 300 jobs off the system when it crashed.

When the jobs were booked in for the night the system went tits up hence the reason why 300 jobs went missing. I know how it works I've done plenty of shifts in the office.

I take it then that 300 punters were left waiting for non existent cars. I am surprised that the office gets any work. If the other drivers that are being affected by this feel the same way as you, why don't you just set up your own office and then you can have any booking/dispatch system that you like.

Yep you're correct, we didn't get a rent reduction or anything.

So why are you not setting up your own office? How many drivers are being affected? Maybe I should set up an office in your area and offer you all a better deal than you are on now?

35-40 drivers in total.

You've been slagging off Mercury for years, as well as your office for still using it.
Talks cheap Nidge. Grandad asks a good question, why not answer it?
