| Post subject: | Radio equipment |
I bought a local taxi firm a few months ago and everything was stated in good working order. The base and radio signals work ok as long as you are close to the office or and above the height of the office, below and the signal is terrible. I want to replace the base, wiring from the base to the aerial and the aerial itself but am not too sure what equipment I shoule be looking for? I have seen second hand equipment on ebay which might be ok but I would like to know if anyone could suggest what base and aerial type I should get for the best coverage? I saw a base and radios on ebay but not sure what they are like and not sure how to post a link on here? |

Go to the listing on ebay and in your browser address box you will see the listing, just right click and select copy then come back to TDO and paste |

Get a proper radio engineer in to check your set up. They can advise on the right equipment. |

Sorry for taking so long to reply been very busy! When I finally get all the bills sorted and more money coming in then I will call someone in to check the whole aerial and cables, although looking at the aerial in the day, the cabling is waving about in the wind! Not a great start! Not sure where you mean about the pork butchers! But I cant think of one near the railway station! I am going to start a new topic on the general section to update about my progress so far if anyone interested! |

If I was you I'd look at leasing a whole new setup mate, it's tax deductable and you can upgrade it as newer and better stuff comes along, stay on top of it without the hassle of having to sell on, if you break it down unit for unit and devide it between your numbers you'll probably find it doesn't add up to a lot. |
