Wharfie

Just been to visit the Exel site after hearing how good the system is meant to be.

A few questions;

Shouldn't a market leader in IT communications have its website up to date. 75% of the pages are under construction, with a note saying come back after 1st October 2003.

Several typos.

Is it not unprofessional to carry an article about a competitor. Especially when it uses the term Administration and Liquidation. Surely they are two seperate legal positions and not one and the same.

Unimpressed.

First of all Tom as I have said on here before I use thier system I am not thier legal representatives

It is certainly not unproffesional to carry an article about an incident where the company was let down badly, and the 2 companies shared the same customer base.

asfor thier site not being up to date again cannot answer sorry.

You use their booking software Wharfy mate, thats all.

The system that Exel offer is being improved and up dated on a daily basis making it more stable and easier to use.

Their website is "under construction" as they are working flat out on instalations and improvements, you will also have noticed a very small ammount of advertising, this again is a result of the same workload. I believe that their priorities are therefore correct at this time.

The system itself is as good as everyone who has seen it says it is, I have worked with all the major systems and this is so far ahead of anything else I have seen or worked with.

Your better off getting all the information direct, so give them a call on 01623442211, don't ask "how much is it" ask "how can this system make my business grow" then you'll fall off your chair when they tell you the cost.

B. Lucky

I just said on another site we run a 60 fleet on Auriga it never fails well it does the odd time but, they are quick on the mark if anything goes wrong. The beauty about it is the call back, no pipping horns the customer comes straight out. The GPS is bang on to accurate to within 6ft I'm lead to believe. We all know progress must be made within the dispatch industry for it to go forward IMHO Auriga are the market leaders.

Alf,

What do you know about the other systems on the market and why is Auriga so much better?

And Mick, why is Exel so good - what does it do that makes it "so far ahead"?

Regards,

Dave.

Dave

I am also an Auriga user, for nearly 10 years now. I have also looked closely at other systems over the years.

I have to say that I would only consider switching to a company of reasonable standing, with what I feel is comprehensive support systems.

All systems promise to be all things to all men. The one thing I feel that Auriga has that I don't see from others is large numbers of quality taxi/PH companies who are prepared to open their doors to you and show you how the system works for them.

Auriga's customers openess is surely a very strong testimonial.

The two market leaders, Auriga and Autocab are both about to launch their next generation systems. Cantech, from the Canada have sold at least a couple of systems in the last year. Rumour has it that Raywood from Australia may have signed up three big companies.

I need to discover more about Cordic and Exel/Midas/Mercury (whatever).

Interesting times in the industry.

I quite like Auriga, but that brick that houses the data-head, makes the Elephant Man look pretty.

I've also seen Excel's new system and that's not far behind Auriga. The service charge is £250 per month I know it is a bit on the large side but it's for piece of mind. Going on to how the system works many will know it's capabilities we never have drivers crossing for jobs, all the drivers are happy with it because we consulted them before we had it installed, because it's the drivers who pay your wages at the end of the week, without the drivers we'd be nothing.
