Hi all, We have just taken delivery of our replacement PDA's. They are HTC Touch 3G's from Orange to replace our mix of SPV M700's, XDA Orbits and TyTn II's. We are on datamaster. Our new tariff includes free calls between users on the same group so we have an extra sim card to put in a phone in the office. we are trying to cut our call costs as base often has to call driver mobiles as we have a pretty crappy radio system for voice. Some of the drivers have mentioned the legals of mobile use in card so we want to provide a handsfree kit for them. It has to be reasonably priced and fit for use. not sure about bluetooth as connection with PDA may be a problem. Does anyone have any experience of this and what are you using? Thanks. Paul. |

Cristal clear sound both ways, it comes with a pack of soft ear pices that you just slip over the ear bit, and stays charged for around 5 days, it comes with house and car chargers |

I now use one that is part of the rear view mirror. It has a loud speaker or it can be played through the car stereo or if you want privacy, it has a detachable earpiece as well. The cost was less than £40 on ebay. I also have one car with a bluetooth radio which is very good. |

I've used a few over the years! One of my cars has a Nokia CK-7W which I got from Orange years ago and was fitted professionally. The call quality is fantastic and people I talk to are often shocked when I tell them that I'm driving as they say the call quality is just the same as having a phone to the head! I also have a Jabra BT-200 which I got cheap from Tesco just for when I have to hire a car so I can be legal and it's actually really comfortable. The lobe takes the weight so it doesn't feel bad after a days use. A friend of mine has a Parrot in his car and it's good, they're not cheap but then they're nowhere near the price of some of the professionally fitted ones and they're not bad quality. I'd avoid any of the minature ones that sit inside the ear as the inside of the ear takes the weight of the device and even though they're light your ear does start to ache by the end of the day! The Plantronics one shown looks nice and Plantronics are the market leader in headsets for phones so it makes sense that they would also make good bluetooth handsfree kits as they know a lot about echo cancellation with telephone audio. |
