following a recent incident where a passenger got stroppy and abusive then punched me in the head as he got out and ran away (fortunately it was in the city centre about 100 metres from police so i got them nicked immediately) i have decided cctv is a good safeguard and will obviously make identification more straightforward , however as Taxi licenscing have to approve the kit it becomes more complex and expensive of course -

so i wondered if anyone has found a way to get a decent sytem which records in lo light / nightime/ encrypted/wide angle etc - and maybe installed them selves to save cash .
