Post subject:  Autocab System

Hi Guys,
We have recently upgraded our systems from Autocab to Mercury Exel (Don't know if its a good move or not lol). Anyway as a result we now have a full Autocab system Main Despatcher, Backup Despatcher, two Operators & management computers. 25 Dataheads and all connecting equipment and cables. The only thing we have kept are the radios for voicing.
Can you advise if this is sellable, and if so where are the best places to advertise ?
Thanks for any advice offered.

Please don't tell me you've signed up with Excel? We've had them for just under 3 years and we can't wait to have it taken out.

Our office is only 1½ miles away from Excel's office, trying to get them out to do something is beyond a joke, they'll sign you up then take your trousers down and bum rape you for every penny.

My advice to you is rip it out and put Autocab back in, your drivers will kick off because it does the opposite of what it's supposed to do. Your drivers will be doing more miles for less money.

Did they tell you the PDA's crash at least twice a day? Did they tell you that the drivers have to take the backs off and remove the battery and log back in again? Try doing that at 70mph on a motorway.

The system is full of faults and slows down when it's under pressure, it will crash at the busiest times and lose all your bookings for that night.

Some of the ringback numbers will be wrong, you'll do a ringback at 4am in the morning, the office will get a call from an irate person who's been dragged out of bed due to his phone ringing, he's not even ordered a Taxi.

If you want your buisness to survive rip it out and send it back and put Auriga back in.

There's a few firms in London who have got Excel, they also think it's a pile of brown stuff.

If you want anymore info PM me and I'll gladly advise you on what and not to do with the system.

So, reading between the lines, overall and at the end of the day, when all is said and done your bottom line is, your not generally in favour.

Your with Bill at Datamaster we are with Excel / Mercury. Different kettle of fish mate. I've worked with Bill's systems before and they are spot on, easy to use and they earn you money.
