Once we started using BT cards, the pdas stopped being a problem. The problem with Mercury is they lock out as much as possible so when you do have a problem it is a pain in the bum. My solution is to wipe the pda, and reinstall the software. We've already paid for it but no longer have to suffer the 'secrecy' of Mercury. Took a while to work out but worth it. To me it isn't the pda at fault. If the stystem is set wrong, or in the case of Mercury cannot be set right, pda or dataheads are just the same. 21 years in the job, both as driver and operator, has taught me a few things that I have tried to pass on to Mercury but to no avail. Never used Cabmaster but I know Datamaster and Autocab are pretty damn good so long as you have a good connection |
