Anyone know the procedure for altering the time on a Digitax meter ?

I seem to remember you can move the clock forwards or back by two minutes once a week, and I think only between certain hours. It involves pressing and holding a couple of the buttons to enter the right mode then pressing buttons to move the time forwards/back. Can't remember which ones to press :?

I know it's a combo of function buttons - just don't know which ones !

I'll look up the PDF.

Well I've gone through the procedure in the Digitax websites PDF, tried all possible function key combos and none work. I know it can be done as the day driver used to adjust the clock every month or so when it had run slow, perhaps it has to be done between certain hours ? I vaguely remember the day driver saying something about 12-1pm. Sadly he's no longer around so I can't ask him.

All sorted :D

For reference should anyone else need to adjust the clock here is the procedure. Applies to a DIGITAX ET 806 although I am assured it will work with most of the older Digitax meters and maybe some of the newer ones.

Between the times of 11.58am and 12.02pm with the meter in 'For Hire' mode pressing the K1 and K3 function buttons simultaneously will cause the clock to reset to 12.00 noon, ie pressing the buttons between 11.58 and 12.00 will move the time forward to 12noon and between 12.00 and 12.02 backwards to 12noon.

You can only do this once in a 7 day period and only between the 4 minutes mentioned.

If you remove the meter from the bracket and put it back on again, the meter will need resetting for time and date, but you may need a pin number to start the procedure, so check with your supplier first. You will not lose the set tarrif by removing it.

Thanks for your reply, Jimbo. I should have made it clear that the meter is an old Cygnus 300 which I purchased for my 'preserved' Fairway. I do have the Low and High level PINs. The meters' internal battery is dead, so I have to re-enter the PIN whenever I disconnect the car battery.

If I remember, after you have entered the PIN and when it says Rent No, press Revert or Select (can't remember which!). You can then press Revert for the hours (24h clock) and Total for mins. You then press Select (I think), then press Revert for the day, Total for the month and Extras for the year. Then press Select. It will beep and I think it goes into Hire mode. Press Revert to take it out of Hire and the Hire sign will go out.
Hope it works
