Dear taxi-driver readers,

If you're looking for a new way to take cashless payments for fares in your cab, then consider our new service Dash Taxi.

There are no sign-up or subscription costs to use our service. Just allow the customer to make payment by Dash Taxi and we'll transfer the payments directly to your bank account.

Dash Taxi is a service which allows you to accept a cashless (credit or debit card) payment from a passenger.

Dash provides the passenger with easy to use channels to make cashless payments using their mobile phone via SMS text, Automated IVR, through our call-centre or Mobile applications (eg iPhone).

All you need to do to take payments is to be setup on the service which is quick, easy and free of charge so that payments from customers can be transferred to your nominated bank account.

Benefits of the service

• No credit card details are divulged therefore it is very secure
• No costs to join the service
• No equipment required
• No coins or cash
• Approved by Transport for London

Find out more and watch our videos on how it all works at our website. Thanks for reading.

As part of sign-up we collect and verify your bank account details and once a week we transfer the total fares collected directly to your account, a remittance document is sent to the driver once a week detailing all transactions and the amounts transferred.

The taxi driver can obtain details of all their transactions at any time by logging into their online account. The online account shows all paid transactions and those to be paid for the week in progress.

In terms of payment guarantee - Dash Taxi will ensure the funds get paid as part of our weekly accounts process.

(the company behind Dash Taxi have a number of proven transactional products on the market including cashless parking (http://www.dashpark.co.uk), numerous pre-booking, permit solutions and PCN payment systems - our expertise is in transactional processing).

Come on guys ....

Free to setup
No costs to run the service
Allows drivers to move vehicles and still accept credit card fares simply by moving a self cling sticker

encourages more people to use taxis
more likley to get a tip
promotes taxi drivers

allows the service to join the 21st Century. The public like to pay using their credit cards and increasingly using their phone. We process thosands of transactions in this way each day.

Seems like a decent idea, but unfortunately as Skippy stated, the majority of the cab trade prefer cash.

You might get a little bit further if you had the backing of a trade body or union.

Well try and get the payments out at the start of a month, those with school contracts have to wait until the end of the next month to receive the payments from the month before
