Anyone had, or are using this system???

Is it any good??

Good Points : Drivers can't 'bent' plot, you can't fiddle the system.

Bad Points:
(1)Unit failures (lots).
(2)Logout button in same location as the 'back' button, you go back a screen and you easily logout.
(3)Logout can't be cancelled, it gives you ten seconds to cancel but you still have to log back in and go to the back of the queue.
(4)Mail icon too small.
(5)In-built sat-nav navigates to postcode not house number, also plots fastest route not shortest (both these work ok if you manually enter route into sat-nav).
(6)Plotting screen jumps back to area you are on when you are trying to check other plotting areas.
(7)If you logout rather than shutting down properly it locks the PDA and you have to either press the reset button or remove the battery.
(8)Various problems with units randomly shutting down and rebooting, and freezing.
(9)Some low and out of memory issues.

Anyone with Sigtec?

I've just watched the on-site video for Sigtec. It's just a nerd reading a list of complicated terms off a brochure and shows me no reason why i should choose it over anything else.
The booking screen looks far too complicated.
No sign of the dispatch screen.
So false I believe my Granny's teeth are more real.
And I bet it's expensive.

If you really want complicated, try Destinator. It's a full blown, over cooked version of the crap Mercury system. Would take a month to set up the plots

Eventually got last taxi firm to swap to datamaster. once they used it, they said it was much better and easier to use.
Now with a new firm also on datamaster.
Even tho I'm the one looking after the technical side, i wouldn't ever consider even working anywhere that had mercury

Just swap. Bloody hard work but worth it with a firm already working. Much easier when we did the new firm even though I did push for a fast setup off the Datamaster team (about 2 weeks from phoning Bill to actually going live - Autocab can't match that!)

Juat had a look round the Auriga PDA I've just been given by the firm, It looks OK nice and simple and easy to plot and bid.

But very flimsy IMO.

From my experience Auriga is no where as good as the salesmen say it is.
