OK then. It got a good test as follows:

Day 1: Hampshire to Manchester, Trafford Centre then out to hotel.

Day 2: Manchester to Cockermouth and Silloth.

Day 3: Silloth to Cockermouth and Keswick, and return.

Day 4: Silloth to Cockermouth, Buttermere and Honister Pass, return via Bassenthwaite.

Day 5: Silloth to Cockermouth and Birmingham, Cadbury's World, and Hotel.

Day 6: Hotel to Bullring and return to Hampshire.

The unit was very impressive and coped well with a mixture of conditions: Motorway, city centre and Lake District lanes. The settings ensured the routes were reasonable, not unnecessarily long but not sending us off down farm tracks.

My sole criticism, like most LCD displays, remains the difficulty in seeing the screen in bright sunlight; I didn't get the shade that Nidge apparently has.

Excellent value for money. 9/10

Glad you are getting on OK with it. I love mine it's the poodles noodles.

Get yourself a brodit clamp and put it on the dash fascia it does not need to be stuck to the screen

By the time you've paid for one of them you might as well have paid more out for a Sat Nav.

Or just stick it right in the middle of the windscreen halfway between rear-view and dash like I see a lot of private motorists do #-o
After all you don't need to see where you're going if you just follow the satnav

An old thread to resurrect but feel you all needed to know.

Over 2 years ago I bought 2 Satnavs from Garmin again. One for me, one for the little Piranha. One had a few minor errors in the software a week or two ago. Rang Garmin hoping they might send an update file but no, even out of warranty by some time, just asked me to return it and accept a repaired or refurbished model.

Sent it off the day before yesterday but missed the post.

Got an email today at 12.49, they had received it and I would get the replacement within 10 to 14 business days. Another email at 1515 said the replacement or repaired device was now despatched. It has a 90 day warranty.

I must say, again, that they really do look after their customers.
