What is the cable called which connects to the car battery and the taxi meter / computer ?? And what type of areal do I ask for ?? Operator said I need to get the wire and areal before they can connect the computer in the car This is for private hire Cheers |

What make of meter, what car is it going into the cable is for the transducer or a pulse cable |

It sounded like the guy said I needed a malbra cable or something, Its for the sigma taxi meter and the car is a ford mondeo Thank you. |

The Canbus is part of the vehicles fittings, it controls voltages to different items on the vehicle, a taximeter needs a pulse from a sender (old school) or from the cars ECU, it may need a different cable because of a Canbus |

For my meter to work I needed a can-bus to convert info from the ECU to the meter. At a cost of £100.

Ok, the operator said it will cost me around 45 quid for both areal and cable, he recommended a place to me but I forgot it, I will find out what cable it is from him on Wednesday and update. |

Skodas work of the can bus system, the fitter removed the speedo and connected a double spade connector, put the dash back after running a length of cable to where the meter was going |
