Although they use a multi network sim the the devices are not set up to roam.. its actually pointless having a multi network sim in a device that doesn't do the job for you...

Richard, you know thats wrong.

What APN are you using?

Having sat in meetings at both O2 and Vodafones HQ, discussing roaming sims, it would never work in the taxi market. Im disappointed you claim "your sims" can work any differently. They wont.

Youve done your advertising peace, job done?

For a sim to roam, it MUST lose connection completely not just the data element. This doesnt happen alot.

Once that happens it must communicate with the international systems somewhere in europe. It gets authorisation, then the sim can roam to another network, only ones that are programmed into the sim, not the device. Brilliant.

In all that time, its probably fixed back to its normal network.

Static CCTV etc, it works a treat. On a moving device, in 8 or 9 minutes, you can cover what, up to 9 miles. How many zones?

Clearly Autocab have had enough of the so called claims, as theyre not pushing the roaming sim any more.

Hi,

We have our own secure m2secure app and works from its own platform unlike 02 and Vodafone.

There is a lot of mis information out there do you know what a streered sim is??? Some companies and resellers are selling the 'steered sims' as 'taxi' roaming and they don't work..

Autocab are not pushing sims full stop as its too much of a headache for them, and the reseller who they recommend sells single network and steered sims not roaming sim as they don't have one.

If you are genuinely interested you are more than welcome to speak to some of our cordic, autocab and other software providers and trial our roaming sim..

Have a look on our website or send me your number and I will call you...

Great youve got your own platform, but whos infrastructure are you relying on, Its a simple question and please dont say its roaming, we use everyones.

Which network is the home network, where does the sim originate.

I know probably more than Im letting on, but thats not the point. Im upset you come on the board advertising like its the best thing in the world. Comments from others prove real life experience isnt great, and you presume its for X or Y, the whole process of a roaming sim doesnt work for a taxi device because of the nature of it.

I think you'l find that incorrect. Autocab dont recommend a single supplier for sims, the one most of their customers use understands the industry and therefore refuses to sell them. Why pay £4.50 for something inherently worse than a single or two single sims.

Firstly there is no home network it connects to the strongest network on 2g, 3g or 4g whichever, you wouldn't even know.

The reason why most people don't believe in it is because;

A, some wide boy selling cheap sims on the internet has probably stung them and sold them steered sims which dont roam!

B, Its never been explained how they work and what the differences are!

C, have never seen them working!

like i say you are more than welcome to test anytime and see for yourself.
