They use similar types of screens in Oldham but I was wondering if you had any connection with this particular firm? Regards JD |

I'm not that sure these screens will help if the s*** hits the fan. Good luck to the lads that have them, I hope they do help them. But to me if the trade is that bad, then drivers shouldn't be driving. If things are that bad then PH firms, at night, should only pick up regulars. No more 'waiting at the end of a road' pick ups. No more anon phone numbers, and if a drivers doesn't like the look of a job, then don't send a car. But sadly some firms do take chances and send drivers to job that sound iffy, and the next we hear about it is in the pages of PHM.

Maybe it's just me, but.... I think that kind of "screen" could be seen as quite confronational in a PHC (if you get what I'm meaning) I wouldn't give much hope to it withstanding a guy with more muscle than Frank Skinner! I agree with Sussex though, if it's that bad to be thinking about a product like that - give it up

I wonder why they used that old diagram of an Austin Maxi or whatever? And I'm not too sure about the following: On average, one taxi driver dies every month as the result of a violent attack at work. [In the UK] |

I usually divide them between drunk and sober, but I suppose that usually equates to night and day. |

![]() For the operator I work for it is meant to be company policy that drivers aren't sent to a job where the number has been withheld, I got sent to a job the other night in Handsworth, Birmingham (riot country), I had a right go at the operator when I found out that the number was witheld, the customer didn't show either. |
