We have just priced up 5 new system suppliers for a 70 car fleet. Our view is that they are all pretty well thought out these days, with Icabbi & Autocab being light years ahead. Datamaster has loads to offer and is the most affordable whilst I cabbi works out the most expensive with cordic close behind. We have been with Autocab for 25 years , their system is 100% bullet proof although we have had numerous issues with the company. Like having to pay £500 for a tariff change, really sucks when already paying for support.

And we just changed to datamaster, we're all loving it, bosses, base ops and drivers.

Sorry for delay

Yes meter is on the devise and its pants luckily kept old one in and only use that now the one on devise was always less
Now i dont know if its down to our idiot directors or just a poor design but [edited by admin] me its annoying
Press this confirm that input this way way to much touching devise.its also automated so makes it much harder mentaly ie which way to face when picking up and then not knowing the destination and feeling a right t***
Regulary get not working box
Never grt follow on jobs now as inputting destination zone is fiddley and time consuming and can only be done when punter lets you know and they dont want to see u [edited by admin] with devise

All in all alot more stressful and worringly much more dangerous from a driving pov

Not talked to one driver who likes it but as i say im sure icabbi have do e what our idiot directors have yold them

So anyone on any firm that uses the fare calculator on the device, rather than using the tried and tested meter, is losing out on every job?

Not exactly what I would call progress.

I was talking to a driver whose company use iCabbi and he told me the system is known to 'go down' for short periods (stretching to an hour on one occasion) 'not infrequently'.

Is this anyone else's view?

We have been with Cordic for many years and their system is totally bomb proof.

I am always fascinated that people choose a system based purely on cost. The actual cost of an IT system is so minimal compared with other expenditure.

The answer is to Bluetooth the fare from the meter to the data-head.

Can't iCabbi do that?

Been on the Icabbi system for over 2 years max downtime we have had is not more than 10 or 15 minutes over that period compared with Auriga we were going down every week for at least 15 minutes like all cloud based systems you must make sure your internet connection is A1
