Vauxhall Vivaro 1.6 115ps 9 seater minibus.

On the brink of buying one of these, looks good and shed loads of room, Does anybody on TDO own one or knows what they are like?

They knock out as much torque and HP as many an older 2lt or 2.2lt engine, new technology I guess.

Love some advice before I part with the readies.

heres a very Similar one to the one i was considering but from a different dealer..take a look.

Still under powered for when a full load is on, go for the 2ltr

You'll get through clutches like a good one with that being a 1.6. A lad round here has got a 1.6 Mondeo, at 60,000 he needed a new clutch because fully loaded it wouldn't pull the bed clothes back.

The New models only come with a 1.6 CDTI option, the only really option Is a Single turbo or a BiTurbo version

It's supposed to be as torquey as the older 2.0Lt models...

I think you have already made your mind up, a modern 1.6 will be ok in my opinion, I just don't like Vauxhall or fords, but good look, you pay your money and take a chance.

No... Decided against it and Ive now opted for another nearly new Citroen Dispatch combi as they have stopped making them until a new version comes out, I had my last one for 9 years and it never ever failed to get me home..it had a few mechanical scares but it was a true spartan of a vehicle.
