Anyone know why you can only add a total of 2 extras on these when you try to add a third extra passenger it wipes all 3

Because the punters are either paying for a 4 seater or a 6 seater , why the extra

Meters should be set for 1 to 4 passengers, or 5 to 8, and calendar controled

our table of fares requires 4 seater tariff plus extras per passenger #-o

The extras are being wiped because there is a feature to set a maximum amount of extras, after which it will take them all off again. This is in case of accidentally pressing the extras button too many times, you can still correct it. It is common to set an upper limit of around £5.00, what has apparently happened is that the meter fitter/programmer has set the maximum figure as too low.

You will need to contact them again to get it straightened as Vikings settings are secured with a PIN as well as a physical programming key, so only people with the correct PIN for that dealer can do anything with it.

the easy thing to do is dispense with extras altogether, and be grateful for the hire, just have 2 set tariffs, 1 for up to 4 and the other from 5 to 8

You mean that the punter is doing us a favour by using us and we should tug our forelock in gratitude?

Your still earning, and probably earn more if the extras where dropped, as above , with a slight increase at night on both.
We had a 60p call out and 10p per bag extra charge, but scrapped them years ago, work went up by 50% overnight

You don't have to charge them though, but your meter should be set for 1 to 4 and 5 to 8

Sometimes I have to wonder what planet you are on. The meter should be set to whatever tariff is on your table of fares agreed with your council if you are a hackney. Not all councils are the same.
