I know we discussed it last year but things move PDQ in this techno world we live in. Since all London cabbies now have to accept card payments (and absorb the fees themselves!) we have seen a lot more customers coming off the London trains expecting all of us black cabs to do the same. I have seen it change from one or two people a week to two or three people a day now walking down the rank asking to pay by card.
The three main systems I'm interested in are Paypal here, izettle and worldpay. I particularly like the look of worldpay as it is a complete standalone terminal with its own sim that uses three different networks to find a signal. It also has a flat rate of 2% commission with no monthly charge, accepts phone payments and contactless. Only problem is the £280 initial price for the terminal but this does include a built in printer.
Paypal and izettle are far cheaper but more fiddly
