Come on then tell me the worse shit about this system.

Nothing bad to tell, we've had it just over 2 years, and providing it's set up correctly, it works very well. There is a lot involved with the set up and the time really has to be invested there.
Just to add to the above, we actually dealt with iCabbi in Ireland, we got in with them before Mercury became re-sellers for them.

As mentioned above they are ok.

Personally I prefer the Autocab version.

Not convinced with ICabbi's data head meter, or as they call it their fare calculator.

The "set up correctly" puts me off. How I'm looking at it, it's too feature rich for what we need it for and for our volume of calls.

No system will reach its full potential until it's set up correctly. We tweaked ours for 3 months until we were all completely happy.

No delay between sending a job to a car on a different area if none plotted where the job is, often I'll decline a job on a different area and 10 seconds later theres 5 cars on that area.
No delay in re-sending a job that you've declined if no other cars available (see above), decline a job and 2 seconds later you're offered it again, over and over.
Inaccurate built in taximeter.
Phone customer option unreliable.
Navigation doesn't work - full stop.
Finding details of account jobs is a pain.
USB lead falls out of bottom of phone (might just be our phones though).
If you're scrolling down the screen and a job comes through you accept it by mistake because your already touching the 'accept' area.
Intermittent spinning 'working on it' icon - not due to signal reception.
The constant full volume beeping every time theres a message or job or bid.
The number of times you have to restart the PDA because its frozen.
The times when its just not working for no apparent reason.
THE NON STOP BEEPING !!

That's an option taken by the operator, it doesn't have to do that.

It can ignore you once you have binned a job.

Guessing you haven't found the volume button.

I can honestly say that we don't have these problems, but as I've mentioned it is all down to how the system is set up, and looking at several of your gripes, they seem to be related to PDA/signal issues not the iCabbi system. Do you have the system directly from iCabbi or from Mercury? We have zero problems with the PDA's as we get drivers to supply their own and even the cheapest £70 handsets work perfectly. As regards the beeping, turn the volume down, oh and you can determine how many notification beeps the driver receives, as I say, It's all about the setup, iCabbi show you how to do it, they don't do it for you!!

ok... ref icabbie

can it be set to put jobs to certain cars, types of cars or designated cars or would feeding require operator intereference?

any ideas if it - on auto - keeps cars in certain plots or favours certain plots, or would it send work to next car waiting?

for the 1st month it was fine/fair.... seems its been hacked by the budgies now

How ? I can change the volume on the phone but the icabbie app seems to override it and blasts at full volume. I cant find any option to change it !
