Does anyone use telematics to monitor the way cars are driven?

As an individual, kind of;
Instead of a rev counter my dash has an economy meter, indicates how much throttle is being used and thus how much fuel. I try and keep it in the 'eco' range as much as possible and rarely venture into the 'power' zone. It also tells me when it's running on battery power which I try to maintain as much as possible.
Coupled with the instantaneous mpg readout on the dash it lets me drive as economicaly as I can.

If I ignore all this then my mpg drops by about 8-10mpg so in a way I'm using telematics and not driving like in a standard car.

Believe me Grandad,you really don't want to know! But we fitted cctv to vehicles owned by us, inside and out. What I can tell you is that in the past 6 years, no other motorists have phoned us to complain about poor driving. Neither have any customers on board the vehicles either.

Best investment anyone can make to protect drivers, punters and vehicles.

icbbi and cabdespatch does

I think the price of these tracking systems is very high compared to the benefits
