Square. Be there or be square.

one of my drivers is using square I get customer complaints about it frequently not working. I am using izettle and it hasn't failed to take the payment once

Why would customers complain if a card reader doesn’t work, which means they don’t pay, Shirley?

Things will improve when Stamford gets a mobile phone signal I suppose, bur a manual payment is possible without a signal. Has your driver switched the reader on?

being next to the A1 we have signal thank you and last time I counted 22 cash points

why are you so jealous of Stamford ?

We just started taking payments through stripe via our datamaster system. If ide realised it was so quick and easy ide have set it up sooner. In car (without any terminal )or in the office. And like Grandad mentioned earlier, very low fees.

I only use the iZettle, although we have a firms paypal unit in the car.

I had massive reservations when I bought it, but I was a prize tit for having those reservations.

Get paid in a couple days, and it literally take seconds to process a customers payment.

my old base proudly announced 3 months ago that they can now take card payments

except the machine is kept at the bosses house, not the base and they only take cards on fares over £40....

I started with the cheaper sum up, that used your mobile through Bluetooth, but found it slow,
So bought the independent 3/4 G mobile version that comes with an unlimited data sim built in, and it works instantly, it uses any available network, and apart from the £99 purchase fee, the transaction fees stay the same at 1.69% per transaction.
If you download the app you can still check your transactions on your phone., and if you want to take larger payments your passenger just puts their card in then their pin in.

I had sum up previously, but my son works for iZettle and the card reader is slimmer and better for the future, I plan to put on my partition window in the passenger area, I’ll use Velcro strips so I can take it off and on, the cable is long enough to plug in to the USB ports in my Vito.
