Taxi Driver Online

I have used a couple of Taxi APPs at Cab Firms over the years (not Uber etc! Lol) and love them! as makes my life easier.

I would like a Taxi APP where all jobs come to me! But only immediate jobs - no advanced bookings.

But if I turn a job down (or am not working) the job automatically gets offered to other Drivers (and they do the same to me).

The idea being that each driver can build up own customer base with automatic cover (or at least a decent chance of) without the aggro of getting on the phone. As we all know having own customers as a single driver only works if you can get cover - and that can be a PITA to sort.

Either as one APP system or each driver has own APP that simply "talks" to other Driver APPs.

Hopefully this is a path well trodden!

Not sure if there is, as I'm not sure how the app company would make money.

But it's an interesting concept.

Damn! I was hoping for a long list of APP providers! Lol.

Easy enough for a developer to make money once fully developed (not the day 1 buggy version!) simply from either a monthly charge direct to each driver or per job....nowadays taxi apps are not cutting edge technology and what I am after is effectively a "cut down" to the bare bones taxi app which cuts out the middle men of cab firms (sorry dudes!) so does not need to be "all singing & dancing" to manage (Grease?!) Jobs & also from being intended to stay basic minimises developer support required.

A virtual taxi rank for an area, with of course the downsides of ranks!

Lots more research for me to do on what is already "out there', but not impossible for hand to go in my own pocket to get something written. Not likely, but not impossible! Lol.

Problem is these take millions to develop and market, and when we see the biggest user of apps, Uber, who have lost 20 billion since they started, and no app firm has ever made any money, I'm not sure there is a long queue of people wanting to spend time or money on our trade.
