We are a dutch company who makes taxi roofsigns. (http://www.taxibord.nl) We are very interested in the brittish market. We would like to know if there are government rules for a taxi roof sign. And where can I find them.

Thank you very much for your responds.

Each UK licensing authority (normally local councils) have their own rules, so basically there are 400+ variations throughout the country.

Some are fairly specific about size and what lettering etc can be on the roofsign, while others allow many different variations.

Some interesting designs - our signs tend to be a bit more oblong with little scope for much information on the side as opposed to the back and front.

The rest of the website is Double Dutch to me though

Couldn't figure the prices? What are they likely to be in UK?
