Ha ha, i had a girl complete with miniskirt and low cut top cleaning spilt kebab at 2am once rather than pay the £30!

Thinking of purchasing one of those hand held hoovers for my car, black and decker dust buster i think its called. Anyone know if they are any good or just a waste of money? |

i have one of the b+d dustbusters in the boot, not a bad wee tool to have, it will do an ok job on the car when you are out and about eg a child spills a bag of crisps, wont do as good a job as a proper hoover done at your driveway/house but not bad all in all. wee tip is to take the filter out and give it a couple of bangs on the kerb for best results |

In my experience the hand held power devil was best, its more powerful and picks up far easier! |

Tesco do a Value recharchable one for about £7 and its just as good as any of the fancy named ones you'll pay 4 or 5 times that price for; and it comes with a boot mounting bracket. |

Absolute poo!. It will roll around in the boot and never get charged, and then a punter will drop a case on it and break it!. Pound in the petrol garage vacum is better. |

I've got one of those, and it does a reasonable enough job, but isn't perfect. It's got several tools and a nice little zip up bag to put it in, and looks quite expensive and obviously the B&D name provides a little reassurance. As with similar vacuums it has a lot better suction with the engine running, but the instructions actually say that this might damage it, so who knows? I think the mains rechargeables are recommended for greater suction as compared to the 12V ones. As mentioned above, keeping the filter clean is very important - even after one vacuum it can loose a lot of suction, so they should be cleaned regularly, and the filters are actually washable, but I don't think this has to be done every time. The worst aspect of mine is that the plug seems to be faulty and even the slightest movement in the cigarette socket disconnects it. However, there's plenty of spare cable, so that usually keeps the socket steady. To be honest I wouldn't recommend it for the £20 that Argos were asking, but I got mine in the sale for £15 so that just tipped the balance. |
