Does anyone else on here drive a Citroen? Has anyone got any idea how to get a Tom-Tom to work in one? The Traffic Master system seems to knock mine out and even if I turn TM off, the engine management knocks it out grrrrrr! Is there a cheaper solution other than purchasing a Main Dealer system and will this be as effective as my Road Angel?

Affraid not, I've got a Citroen C5 HDI and my Tom Tom won't work for love nor money, when i put it in a Mondeo with the heated front screen it works straight away.

Hi
There have been other issues with GPS and not working in cars properly. The classic case was with a certain companies data disaptch system and the GPS was having issues when the car stereo was on a certain radio station.

Also I know that there have been some complaints with gps systems and cabtivate.

Well I take it you have tried it with the engine running and the engine switch off. Also with yorur Tm Tom is there a socket to allow you to plug an external antenna into it?

I have done a search on the internet and cant see any referances to Tom Tom and problems that you describe but all these new cars are coming with such sophisticated kit already installed that they do give off spurious signals.

Now on another note if the signals are being blocked by the cars enginer management system then I would be tempted to contact Ofcom and ask them if they could come out and have a check for you. The main reason am saying this is that they have the equipment which can measure what radio noise is coming off your car and if its above a certain level then that could break CE rules and Citron would have to sort it out.

Anyway not much other advice I can give. I use my mobile phone and a bluetooth gps receiver for navigation.

regards

Could you please PM me how you do this as Traffic Master interferes with my Mobile phone Blue tooth signal as well? I can ring in / out but one particular network gets blocked. This didn't happen until all these poles with boxes appeared near traffic lights etc LOL (oops same frequency as the local Pig Farm  )

Is there a secure way to link my mobile and Tom Tom? And if I could get the Road Angel in as well that would be worth a few blonde hugs as well ( I will get to deliver tehm personally I promise XXXXXX)
