I think the call centers in India are nearer to me than those in Scotland, and for that matter, I can understand the boys and girls in Delhi a lot more than Dundee. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

(Andy rushes off to the shop to get a new disc for his SatNav. He cannot find India on it, and he's looked all around Sussex).

My favourite despatch supplier has really excelled themselves.

When I purchased I agreed to pay a very tidy sum for 24/7 back up. A few years ago they decided it didn't cover Xmas Day and I would have to pay for a call out on Boxing Day or New Years Day.

Got a letter today saying that if I need an engineer to attend on December 27th, 28th or Jan 3rd or 4th they will charge me £750 for turning out.

WHY?

Take the [edited by admin] won't you.

Autocab and gang expect a call in the New Year.

Perhaps you should reply saying, that if the system does go down then, then they will get a very big bill from you for loss of earnings.

Everything has got to be fit for the job.

Even me at times.

WITHOUT PREJUDICE.

Some (the one we met) of their salesmen tell downright lies. Or, you could say: they are sometimes mistaken in what they say. But, of course, that's only my personal opinion based on experience, allegedly.

Let me be generous, perhaps he was mistaken.

And perhaps it was unfortunate that the gear diidnt work when displayed to us.

And perhaps it was also just an unfortunate coincidence that not one of thier appointments was kept.

Having said that, the techies were honest. Shame that they said wholly different things to the salesmen.

And they "market price"

And, its a DOS package just upgrading to WIndows (?) Windows did I say? Maybe I meant Linux.

A BIG company near us bought Autocab. Within 12 months they ripped it out and binned it. Then bought Auriga.

I dont like to knock a product, perhaps ours was just a bad experience quite uncommon from their normal line of trade.

What do others think.

I think that our Tom, being carefull on quality wont buy such a system but I would love to know exactly where he thinks this system would do for a quality company,

where the hell did you get if from Tom?

please tell us you havnt threatened Auriga with such a move?

they might just have such a system to sell you from thier bin?

I impressed with the without prejudice bit Mr Anon. :D

But remember fair comment is allowed in our law of the land.
