Post subject:  TX1 Driver's Seat - Suspension Seat Good or Bad?

Hi All. I'm a newcomer to the forum. However, I have a question that I hope that somebody will be able to help with. My TX1 is now 8 years old and the driver's seat knows about it, or rather, my rear end knows about it. I am considering replacing it with a suspension seat. Have checked out Jennings who do replacement suspension seats for black cabs. Just want to know if anyone else has replaced their seats, and if they have had any problems. Also would anybody recommend mechanical suspension over the air suspension option.
Cheers

If your seat is doubling up as a poultice for haemorrhoids, best whip it into Jim Kellys.

Failing that how about one of the Recaro Experts 8) support those love handles.

They even do them for the TX3. :)

Thanks for the tips Stu. Already thought of Jim Kelly and have used him to replace the passenger seats in the back. However, my seat can't be adjusted for height, let alone it not having any cushioning. Already seen the ebay listing. Wouldn't pay that kind of money. Anyway, if you go to Capital Seating they do the same seat for less. But Jennings seem to be doing the best deals. They are doing Isringhauser suspension seats and also similar seats to the Isri starting at £229 (+vat). So I think I will be ordering one from them. Agree with Hopper, I am not parting with £770, especially as business has been so quiet in Edinburgh of late.

Nor would I really, there was a guy from glasgow who posted a link to his company on here and they do all those sort of seats as well.
