our office is installing Evocab soon.
as a driver i'm hoping that it sorts out some issues with the older Ariga system, but does anyone on here have any experience of it ?? how is it different or better for the drivers?

i'm having a CT3000 put in the car this week as the older CT2000 is no good with the Evocab.

My only reservations regarding any system is it should be compatable with windows. Not sure Auriga are, in fact pretty sure they are not.

If I were to point someone in the direction a good system, then it would have to be Diplomat's Navigator, but watch out they may rip you off in the process.

Where is my money stew?

What about that company cordix, have not heard anything bad about them, or was I just not listering?

That Diplomat company did not file any accounts, at company's house that is a bit naughty isn't it?

What is it they are trying to hide?

take care

Lynda

Evocab is full windows based system. During beta most problems ironed out. Looks good seems to deliver and as always only time will tell if it suits you.. :D

And to really benefit from EVOCAB you need CT4000's.

Oops, didn't they mention that?

What they didn't mention that you may need a more expensive radio?

Surely not Sussex?

And I bet it will only work with the radio of one particular manufacturer.

I understand Auriga systems are being sold in New Zealand as well!

Hi Lynda

Not sick of you, but!

Tait is a New Zealand based company.

Auriga have sites in GB, Ireland, Spain and New Zealand.

Yep Tom Thumb does run a taxi company and it is a good one, lots of nice vehicles, the staff also make a nice cup of tea......not sure if Tom knows how too make a cup of tea?

As for Tait radios, various data companies use Tait radios and not just Auriga:

Marandy
Datamaster
Cabmaster
Raywood
Diplomate
Autocab dont buy from Tait as such (just base stations) but they can use Tait radios.

There is no problem at all with other data companies buying Tait radios and Tait are not that daft enough too try and stop selling them to other companies.

I know that other radios can wrok on data systems

Motorola
Team Simoco
Icom

So if Tait ever tried to be silly then they would loose out on a lot of sales and with at least one of the companies in the list above it would be over 2000 radios per year in Europe alone.

regards
RadioMan
