Managed to haggle it down to £818!! Uk based company (ERS) with protected NCB. I never thought I’d see it below £1,000 again.

Maybe those that have recently left the trade were the ones causing the high premiums. :-k

Just renewed mine:

2020: £700.72 :-o
2021: £670.48 :shock:
2022: £850.43 :?

Knew last year's was an outlier, and thought it was maybe related to lack of claims in the industry during lockdown.

Had totally forgotten it was only £700 in 2020, though, but presumably that was related to lockdown as well.

So up a good bit this year, but that's more like what I was paying in the years prior to lockdown, and think I've been over £900 once or twice. So up a couple of hundred pounds this year, but in the grand scheme of the trade it's not bad, and it's still comfortably below the maximum I've paid :-|

Yes, it seems everyone’s insurance is up by around 30-50% :cry: . Looks like I’ll be spending half a day ringing around the usual sharks!

Managed to shave a bit off with Jenkinson insurance (£1337) and that’s with Aviva.
