Managed to haggle it down to £818!! Uk based company (ERS) with protected NCB. I never thought I’d see it below £1,000 again.

Maybe those that have recently left the trade were the ones causing the high premiums.

Just renewed mine:

2020: £700.72
2021: £670.48
2022: £850.43

Knew last year's was an outlier, and thought it was maybe related to lack of claims in the industry during lockdown.

Had totally forgotten it was only £700 in 2020, though, but presumably that was related to lockdown as well.

So up a good bit this year, but that's more like what I was paying in the years prior to lockdown, and think I've been over £900 once or twice. So up a couple of hundred pounds this year, but in the grand scheme of the trade it's not bad, and it's still comfortably below the maximum I've paid

Just renewed my insurance Aviva £1400

My mate's just went up by a third.

Not looking forward to my renewal in October.

Yes, it seems everyone’s insurance is up by around 30-50% . Looks like I’ll be spending half a day ringing around the usual sharks!

£967 last year, they’re asking for £1865 this year!!

Madness.

Best quote so far is £1361 with Aviva.

Managed to shave a bit off with Jenkinson insurance (£1337) and that’s with Aviva.

Last year - £1479 (Inshur)
This Year - £2046 (Markerstudy)

On a FB page i said £4000 for a 25 year old newbie is likely, i had a msg....."who with, that far less then my quotes"

Of all the things ive lost, i miss my mind the most

Car insurance in - last year £447, this year £306.

I'll be happy if the cab insurance does the same...

That's good news.

I just did a quote check for the car my youngest drives, and he has no no-claims as it's my other car, he is just named on it.

I got a price back for him fully comprehensive with no no-claims at £550 which amazed me. Hopefully, he will now be able to claim his own no-claims.

Back in July, the cab insurance broker said premiums were nuts and they should fall back. I thought it was flannel at the time but here's hoping.
