I wasn't suggesting anyone would do it deliberately. Fronting happens inadvertently sometimes, simply because many drivers aren't even aware that there's anything wrong in trying to get a cheaper premium for their children this way. Just trying to raise awareness.

If driver was to put a second car on, licence it in his name, insure it in his name ( policy) and his son as the only driver.

If your industry wants to combat fraud, Why does it not lobby for a change in the law,,,1.that the vehicle be ins for damage only....2"And that the driver must have his own personal injury ins to cover claims..requiring his national insurance no.

Protected no claims isn't worth the paper it's written on nowadays. If you have a claim they'll rinse you on the next renewal date.

I had my car vandalised, I had protected no claims. They came and took the car away for repair. When my renewal came back they'd loaded me with £500 extra because I'd had a claim. I asked them why this was as I'd got protected no claims, they said, "it only protects your no claims it doesn't protect you from price increases after a claim."

i think we all know that this trade is picked over like a cows carcass by vultures except the vultures have the decency to wait till the victim is dead...
