There;s a lot of older people who don't even know how to use one or even know what one looks like. What about those unfortunate enough to not be able to read and write (most school leavers??).
Use an accountant. I have always been taught that if you are required to do something that you are not sure about, get someone who is. It is cheaper in the long run.
Did that once paid quite a lot of money out for a so called " Industry specialist" with a close association to the NPHA and as a result got done for an extra £2000 quid tax which I didn't owe because this firm was well known to the Inland revenue who automatically investigated anyone using them and they work from the assumption that you must be ripping them off I learned 3 lessons from that
1) When dealing with the inland revenue honestly is not the best policy
2) If you do your own books the Inland revenue tend to leave you alone as they assume you don't know all the ways to get your tax down
3) Doing it yourself is a LOT cheaper
