Hello everyone,
I am thinking of expanding from a one man band to a few cars with drivers joining in. I have been looking at fleet insurance but can't find much from Google other than companies offering quotes. Does anyone have tips on how, what, where of getting a fleet insuranc fairly? I am looking at 5 Renault Scenics.

Thanks for your help in advance. :-)

One of the firms down here have a fleet policy with Westminster, about 50 cars on it.

Is 50 cars the minimum and about how much in money terms?

anything from 2 cars upwards is a fleet. Take a look in any trade magazine and you will find umpteen companys offering their services.

I think a fleet is 2 or more, as far as I know.

In respect of costs that really is area dependant and how old the drivers are and their driving history.

With fleet, what are the options? I thought you can just about add any driver and car to a certain agreed number :-(

Please enlighten me. Isn't fleet insurance where you can manage/add (upto a certain agreed number) cars and drivers without going through the broker all the time?

Of course you can, but the insurer will reduce premiums if he takes less risks i.e older driver, good driving history etc.

Could you explain roughly how fleet insurance works. Why it's better than having normal insurance for every car? What makes it different?

Generally the benefits are drivers are insured to drive a number of different cars, or the cars are insured for any licensed driver.

Cost is also a benefit.

You need to speak to a broker to get what's best for you.
