Hi, I have recently been granted my private hire badge and my uncle who is an owner/driver with a local firm has offered me the use of his car for 2 weeks so that i can get a feel for the job. His insurance company have told him he needs to add me to his policy for the rest of the year. Are there any company's who could provide temporary cover? Thanks in advance |

It varies from company to company some will allow an additional temporary driver for a month but most won't and the difference in price between the two options probably isn't much I know i put one of my drivers on 3 years ago after a major problem put his car off the road cost over £200 for a month !!! The thing is though that being a newly badged driver counts against you so going fully on the policy might be the only option |
