Hello.

Starting an airport transfer company with just 1 vehicle to begin with but will be utilizing drivers from a taxi company to conduct the work in the executive vehicle.

Does anyone know of any taxi insurance firms that will be willing to have a policy with named drivers insured to use just the 1 vehicle?

Regards.

Meter Man.

Surely most of them.

Normal practice to have more than one driver on a taxi.

You would be surprised.

I have had 2 replies so far from 2 companies and neither do named driver policies.

Waiting for the other 5 to respond.

You may be having difficulty through your intended use of drivers from another source, why not just go down the road of a any driver policy.

Ours is any driver in any vehicle licensed by our local authority and owned by the company.

I think the problem is 1 vehicle.

The any driver policy is what I meant but was unsure of technical terminology.

I have re-sent inquiries to reflect this so will see what happens.

One company has informed me that a minimum of 3 vehicles is needed for this type of policy (any driver policy).

This is why I thought named driver policy might be the only option due to having just one vehicle as this is what I had when I first started out.

Can't you just have any driver over a certain age?
