Alright guys?! I finally got the letter through to get my PH badge next monday (25th June) and I've got a car/radio all lined up.

Here comes the tricky bit...What do i need to do in terms of keeping record of my earnings/expenses. Also how long do i have to inform 'the man' that I'm self employed.

I'd also appreciate it if someone could point me in the direction of a Glasgow based taxi accountant.

Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated as i'd prefer not to learn things the hard way.

Cheers

Pitts taximeters in Nottingham do an accout book that is quite good for keeping records. I am sure they will post you one. I would inform the tax man immediatly and don't forget to pay your national insurance. The basic contribution is only around £2.25 a week.
