In my unprofessional opinion, if Cab Direct challenge the Mayor's decision to only keep the turning circle, they will win. But I doubt it will reach court.

Like a lot of movers and shakers in the trade they are probably waiting to hear what the OFT have to say before making major moves.

Are there any big cities that don't allow the Eurcabs on these days apart from London (and I'm not counting Mansfield as a big city!) - I seem to recall from the Edinburgh forum that they aren't allowed there, but I may be wrong!!

Is it right what a little bird has told me?

By all accounts Cab Direct have suspended their action against the PCO or TfL, cos TfL have decided to review their turning circle policy.

Admittedly TfL said they would review the Certificate of Fitness before 2013, but not after a few weeks.

Have they had sensible legal advice?

(rumour has it that the action is suspended and tfl pay costs and review the policy)

you would have thought they would have considered the likelyhood of legal challenge wouldnt you?

If one supplies all in the field,
come a downturn you have no shield,
to lose so much is considered a sin,
the company is going down the bin.

one can hope for better next time,
if that happens all will be fine,
you cant rely on Nige and Mick,
to revive the company that looks so sick,

cut from the ballance sheet all the fat
or get a new M.D in to bat.
but the London Lads dont want thier car,
they would prefer to spend thier money in the bar.

I would not like to own thier shares,
I will leave that to those that dares.
those that speak of thier vehicles being good
always drive mondaoes and are as thick as wood.

The TFL promised to review thier rules
so coach builders spent a packet on more tools.
transport lab reseached and produced out of time
a report tfl ignored was such a crime,

the Tand G weighed in to protect car jobs
who ingnored taxi drivers who pay a few bobs.
MPs from Midlands got hold of red Ken,
and converted him to a member of thier den.

there was in London so much hope,
but all they got was the midlands soft soap,
the rules state turn in 28 foot
to all yoiu alternatives there is no but.

We will review further within ten years
failed to alllay the cabbies worst fears
to scotland the call was sent
come and rescue us from our tent

so cab direct came a running,
with a writ to tfl gunning.
tfl said we will look again right now
with sweat running down thier brow,

we await to see what tfl will do
beffore a chat with cab direct over a brew
if it goes sour it goes beffore the beak
as cab direct, relief they seak.

Paddington Bill.

I think they are losing money because of the tens of thousands they spend in bribes in terms of advertising in the press.

The only paper that gives a honest view on LTI is 'Taxi' from the LTDA, and the only one LTI doesn't advertise in is 'Taxi' from the LTI.
