spot on both are white cavaliers and i think both are street cars, running a two hundred pound car and having no office fees to pay they must be laughing at all the new twenty grand cabs struggling to pay their seventy three pound office fees, one point though i dont think either taxi owner has a driver and i cant see the few drivers that are left rushing to drive such old cabs

They must be kept well hidden. White car's at that age must have an awfy joab getting past the Cleppy Road paintwork test, or are they a bit more lenient these days.

not so much hidden more like does,t need to work they only have the insurance costs any parts could easily be found in the scrappys ,white paintwork so im told is the easiest to do yourself a couple of spraycans from halfords and your sorted, maybe ill apply to the courts to get my license changed from a wav , its only a matter of removing the wheelchair condition , then i could put on an old cav i seen one sitting in a ditch the other day ,four cans of spay at ten bucks a can plus four new tyres and a couple of other touches and im on the road http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y9/JIM ... and all for under five hundred ?

There was a T-reg (1979) Tx on the road in Glasgow a few years ago but I'm not sure if it's still on

Glasgow has a 5 year age limit then they are off the road but, this doesn't apply to vehicles that were licensed prior to those rules coming in, therefore there are still lots of old TX's & Metrocabs still plying for hire

All the best

I do apologise

I have checked the Glasgow City Council website & it appears I might have been given the wrong information by a friend. It looks as though its less than 5 years before the first grant

The rules may have changed recently

Will check with council tomorrow

All the best
