All costs are recorded as an amount of pounds and pence. Profit/loss is worked out on that basis.

I'm the same

I brim it at the end of every shift, I brim it at the end of the next shift and so on. If I've done 200 miles and it takes £35 of Nitro to fill it back up what's the problem?

That does not give you your running costs at all, but if you think it does then who am I to argue.

its ONE running cost....if his engine aint running it dont cost

which why the big HGV fleets like Tesco and Stobart monitor fuel consumption

Stobarts have their own filling facilities at every depot, they know how many MPG their trucks are doing, they've got Isotrack installed in every truck.

When your spending the thick end of £5million a year on fuel it pays to have Isotrack installed.

Not quite yet. Got to save up for the re-spray, licence transfer, pit test and all the other costs of putting a new car on first (mats, seat covers etc. it all adds up)
Just doing all the research and number crunching and looking into various options before I commit. But the ball is rolling !

I once overcooked a 7.5t by 3 ltrs but no-one noticed and 1 guy filled the bosses car and it took 5ltrs more than the handbook said it could

the same firm never noticed when a driver on an overnight/2 day run from Tamworth to Exeter had come back cos he was on a promise....he overtook another firms van near BHX when he shoulda been in Taunton

another guy on a 2 day run used to get done in a day, and "hide" his truck on his drive and lose his tacho charts. so he was only doing 3 days a week ....

They will do a credit check just to make sure you haven't defaulted on finance in the passed. They have never asked to look at my accounts . And i have had a new E7 a new Euro bus and a new Partner. They are the best company to do business with i have never had a problem
