I bet it'll get through clutches like a good one.

Not if you get the 6 or 7 speed DSG, the clutches are quite robust once you get a single system in instead of the DMF

£650 with a DMF.... =D>

do yourself a favor and keep off the 1.6 diesel engine they eat turbo after turbo as the engine is underpowered and relies heavily on the turbo. go on any Peugeot/Citroen forum and type in 1.6 and read the horror story's. in fact ford has just brought a field update regarding the 1.6 diesel focus saying that if the turbo goes the only way to fix it properly is to replace the whole engine.

always check the TORQUE produced by an engine as its TORQUE that moves cars, not BHP...

Quote:
The engine replaces the old 1.9-litre turbodiesel, offering exactly the same 103bhp and 184lb ft output with much improved emissions and economy of 114g/km and 64.2mpg combined.

Mondeo 2.0 TDCi 130, 130 PS (128 hp/95 kW) and 244 lb·ft (330N·m)

not the best MPG but better than the tx4 my mate has one of them and he only gets 22 mpg that's shocking I drove a fairway for some one when I first started, they are rubbish in the snow and build quality is unbelievable so up to 55 MPG is good compared to that don't see why anyone would buy one

agreed and the build quality is rubbish i would never buy one far to expensive £135 per week excluding VAT! there is no space in the boot, they are not comfortable, the engine sound is also noisy the only positive thing is the turning circle i think

So whats any better - on actual proper true MPG? (not "sort of, almost, for a tenner")

Not many do the calcs 100% right or use an app to check, all my fuel receipts record mileages+litres and i claim the VAT back... many taxi/ph would rather lose half the fuel receipts and use "cash" accounting, so MPG isnt of interest

MPG isnt of interest WHEN (as we all know) so many get "Income from sales" wrong on the HMRC S/A forms....

They would have to juggle fuel receipts in case HMRC came looking and would rather fill up and not record anything...

For me MPG is everything
