I know they arent Tdci Duratorqs like my Mk3 which had a chain cam drive, but the 1.8tdci may be an older Endura design with a chain AND a belt

I think it depends on the year of manufacture, but a friend of mine has a 2009 Citroen Picasso 1.6 hdi and his cambelt intervals are 150,000 or ten years. He had it changed @ 100,000 just to be on the safe side, cost him £380 at a local Independent but that included a full service as well.

Should have been clearer, I meant the newer Mondeos (Mark 4) that have either one or two belts depending on model, that are contained within a cassette. The part alones getting on for £200 i think.

theres more than 1 type of engine in a Mk4 depending on year and engine size
