GBC, I had a look at those photo's and I have to say, I think most are fake. I have never seen a three door car or flat back transit van with the phv badge in the window.

If you want to see phv's getting stopped have a look in farringdon road under holborn viaduct, kidbrooke width restriction, embankment by where they have the flower show, tower bridge/london bridge etc etc, i'm telling you it happens.

If you had your discs, wishbones done and they didn't need doing I suggest you find another garage, my mate just took his fairway up and he didn't have them done and it passed, GBC, I don't want to sound rude because we agree on alot of thing's, but, you come across as a typical hac, by that I mean, knowing nothing about my trade and nothing about your own. When I go in the cafe before I start work it's full of hac's and they alway's get everthing tits up about thier own trade, let alone phv's.

I have to have 2 mot's a year and a pco approved inspection so I don't see how we are not tested as much as you guy's.

As stated before, we are trying to improve, but it will take time.

I know a yellow badge who got caught picking up at the tower hotel, does that mean all yellow badge's are tout's?, of course not.

I know phv's aren't perfect and I hate the tout's as much as you, so how about working together to get thing's right?.

Luv ya me old mucker :D

Trust me Rambo when I tell you the Rover Metro was a Licensed Minicab, the picture was taken in Queen Victoria street at about 1647 according to my phone.

I pass through the Kidbrooke Park Road restriction once a week as I have relatives who live in Sidcup, as with the other locations you mention i've never seen a block on Minicabs taking place.

ANPR sites, yes, as most of the indexes flag something up. :?

As for the bits done on the Taxi, your mate was either lucky or being lenient with the truth, as these parts should be replaced as a matter of course for presentation.

Were not 'hacs' in London Rambo, we're 'London Cabbies' of the true, world reknown variety.

I pleased to inform you I pretty well versed on the in's and out's of the Taxi trade, the pitfalls, the ups and downs, but mainly the large financial reward that awaits me each week, and have been since 1985.

As for not knowing a lot about your side of the trade, suffice to say I have read and followed the London news feeds quite closely over the years, and that speaks volumes. :-$

I have got to agree on this one. Last months O/H almost 2K to get the plate and on the road. It came back with an oil leak, pulling slightly left whilst driving along.
I took it in yesterday as the inhibitor switch went. Also there was a leak on the master cylinder.
Got the lot done £260. I noticed when I parked up at home, that there was gearbox oil on the drive.
Where or when will it all end

I saw you and 'PUU' on London bridge today Mac.

Nice hat!

Sorry about the delay in replying to you GBC. But To rent a cab localy (5 minute cycle ride) would cost me £45 a day (I ain't shlapping over to west London). 3 days @ £45 = £135 Even though my 'Classic' cab was expensive last financial year. It still only cost me less than £100 a week and thats for everything except fuel. And I can use it if I want the other four days to run around.

As for the London bridge sighting... What were you doing out in daylight.

Last time I was invited out to dinner it was a girl.

I'm not sure what Mrs GBC would say, being serenaded by a man?
