my current taxi has 120,000 miles and the clutch is soon needing changing as it was slipping going up a hill yesterday

what car is it? solid or DMF? my clutch was fine (147,000 miles) but the poxy DMF went

skoda Octavia Classic (old shape) 2008 year the thrush bearing has been gone for about a year now so when i'm in neutral and press the clutch is rattles quite badly although this is common and alot of the other drivers who have the exact same car as me are also having issues

My Tourneo also needed a DMF, it felt like the clutch was slipping, but it was the DMF springs slowly giving way, either way its £600+

if i had a 2008 120k miler id just replace the DMF/clutch/CSC and starter

not the best MPG

So whats any better - on actual proper true MPG? (not "sort of, almost, for a tenner")

Not many do the calcs 100% right or use an app to check, all my fuel receipts record mileages+litres and i claim the VAT back... many taxi/ph would rather lose half the fuel receipts and use "cash" accounting, so MPG isnt of interest

i thought you could only claim VAT back if you where visiting the UK and were heading back home?

You claim the VAT back if you are VAT registered.
