Down here about 10/15 years ago, some of the lads were given swivel seats as a testing freebie.
Yes it does replace the front passenger seat, which you keep until you sell the car on. Which I suppose will save on cleaning it up.
The freebies lasted about a year or so before the lads got rid. When I sat in them, they were as hard as nails, and you wouldn't want to go far sitting on them. Unless you like the John Wayne look.
From memory, they had about 3 or 4 customers that used the swivel in that time. And about a 100 moans from customers complaining about how uncomfortable they were.
Things might have changed since i.e. like a bit of extra padding. However if it's a toss up between them and an extra £10-15,000 on a motor, guess what most will choose?
That's of course if they get the choice.
