Anybody had/got/got rid of, one of these? I've been a PH driver for about 6 months and drive a 2.5td version. So far I have had no problems with it (touch wood) other than 4 new tyres. It is a lovely car to drive and the space for the customers is 2nd to none, compared to vectras etc. Anybody got any hints of what I should look out for on the car? Any help appreciated.

there a quite a few on our fleet and the word is that they are nice motors. need belt change every 40K miles and oil 5-6K miles. a few problems with axle and suspension but all cars hae their common faults. the 2.5 engine comes from BMW so should go on for years if its looked after.

MPG out of the 2.5 is not that bad. especially if you put your own personal comfort levels above the cost of fuel.

i'm getting a new motor in the next couple of weeks, and the ones i am currently looking at are all bigger cars with 2.5lt engines. i dont mind taking an extra £10-15 per week hit on the fuel if it means no more backaches and sore knees from being squashed in the mondeo.

I use between £15-£20 per shift, normally doing 150ish miles per shift. Not sure if this is a lot or not.

I think that's quite good, especially as you lot use red diesel down there.

I'd sooner pay the extra money for the room and comfort.
