Hi spanner, I`m on 28,500 mls and no problems, I had the steering knuckle changed a couple of weeks ago (manufacturers upgrade), other than that, good vehicle, 174hp will have more than enough power the 130hp has plenty, the Michelin Agilis tyres that may be fitted are fairly noisy, I`m useing Goodyear Marathon now and much quieter, keep an eye on the rear window catches, if the brain dead punters try to open them by pulling just one side hard they will bend the pin and the catch will be stuck open (happened to me twice now), its easy to fix, just remove the trim above and below, pull the pin out, straighten with hammer and put back together, all in all I don`t think theres another taxi on the road to match it........Happy motoring.

Happened to my mate and the local dealer checked with the manufactor, and that part is subject to a re-call.

I think they vary from £21-28,000 depending on how many bits and bobs you want.

I think the standard taxi with screen, WAV and seven seats is about £25,000.

About the same as the money you will save on fuel, compared to the TX range.

Hi all, I have been asked for an update, to date there are no problems, apart from the kind student (female) who decided that it was a big magnet and drove into the side of me, its fixed now. currently on 41000 mls, just had its 3rd service (£170.00) still on the 2nd set of brake pads with plenty left, went for ferodo pads and they are lasting well, as are the disks. Fuel economy is still about 70 mls to a tenner, everything is running as expected and no complaints. would like to know if other VW owners have the same experience.
