VW Diesels Hit By Pump Recall

One of 2004's biggest car recalls has been launched. Around 70,000 diesels are affected after a fault was found on fuel pump bolts that may cause fuel leaks.

The problem affects 1.4 and 1.9-litre engines in Volkwagens, Audis, SEATs and Skodas. Only cars built between March and Aug-ust 2004 are involved. The Golf accounts for 20,000 of the recalled motors.

Thats good value for money, we were getting "brand new" Ford Mondeo diesel pumps going after 3,000 miles     A lad who works the rank with us has got a Pug 406 it's done 150,000 and he's never had to lift the bonnet only for servicing.

yeah, you can fix the dodgy 406 electrics from underneath the dashboard

still at least VW have the decency to issue a recall and supply and fit the part for free.
ford would just let it go and have us mugs pay to sort out the usual 'common faults'.

Bullseye 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) FORD Fix Or Repair Daily, mind you these new Mondeos are a cracking motor 6 speed, cruise control loads of room and the punters love them. It doesn't take a lot to please me.
